Who's in the Room - The Teacher
I am Tanya — a veteran 8th grade ELA teacher with nearly 20 years in the classroom. And I am still there.
I teach grade level, honors, and co-taught sections. I show up every day for real students with real needs — and everything I build comes directly from that experienceππ
The Leader
Teaching has never been just a job.
Department Chair. Team Lead. PBIS Building Coordinator. 504 Liaison. Mentor Teacher to first-year teachers and teacher candidates.
I have spent my career leading, advocating, and building — while never leaving the classroom that started it allππ

The Person
I hold a B.A. in Secondary Education/ELA from Athens State University, an M.S. in Curriculum & Instruction from The University of Scranton, and an M.S. in Instructional Design from Grand Canyon University.
When I'm not teaching, I'm a wife, mother, and Mimi — grounded in faith, family, and a lifelong love of learning.
These resources weren't built in theory. They were built in Room 509 ππ
